Experience
- Anthony Robinson started with DSLR photography around 2010, took to astrophotography in 2016, and then founded Skies & Scopes in 2017 to document and share his learnings.
- He found that most guides to astrophotography often went from basic to complex very quickly and assumed a lot of knowledge. He aims to write clearly so that anyone can understand when they read along. He is particularly obsessive about researching gear and tends to spend far too long procrastinating on a buying decision but he argues this lends itself well to creating in-depth objective research!
- He is personally focused on landscape astrophotography and his current astrophotography setup is a Nikon D750 camera with a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens.
- Outside of his professional life, Anthony enjoys spending time with his family, running, and reading. His goal is to develop Skies & Scopes into the best astrophotography website on the internet whilst continually improving his astrophotography skills.
